The Herald News reported a case study that shows the supremacy of chiropractics in certain fields as opposed to others. This was study involved treating medium to severe headaches of a 13 year old male. This particular case study concerns what is known as a cervicogenic headache, likely caused by poor joint function impacting the cervical spine and causing a malfunction of the nervous system.
The first chiropractic examination of the young man revealed problems with posture and range of motion, as well as “subluxations” in the thoracic and cervical spine. Subluxations is a misalignment in the spine that interrupts the normal functions of the nervous system.
After just 6 weeks of treatment the young man’s posture and range of motion had increased significantly. The most important factor of the study was that the young man expressed that he was headache free for the first time in four years. While the study did concede that there are no guarantees for any type of care, it did show that chiropractic treatment successfully resolved the problem. (read more)
